  • Volunteer Program of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office

    What is the Volunteer Program?

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s team is more than her Office. It also includes volunteers who dedicate their knowledge, skills, and time to resolve daily work tasks on the path to a free and democratic Belarus.

How do volunteers help the Office?

They perform tasks such as information search, writing and translating texts, video and audio materials transcription, media monitoring, and design creation. There are many tasks, and everyone can find something for themselves. For those who live abroad, we also offer participation in offline events like conferences.

    Who can become a volunteer?

Any Belarusian! The key requirement is to share the values of the Office. The decision to accept one as a volunteer is based on the motivational letter in the application.

What do people get from volunteering?

    1. They get to help the democratic movement to the extent they can and feel personal involvement in Belarus’ democratic future.
    2. Volunteering is a good opportunity to develop one’s skills and learn something new. We always provide feedback and share tips on how to improve one’s work.
    3. For those who actively respond to our requests, we can consider writing a recommendation that may be helpful when applying to a university or searching for a job.
    4. Sometimes we organize meetings with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya where volunteers can ask questions and share their thoughts on issues that interest them.
    5. We also have a Telegram channel with various opportunities for volunteers, including scholarships, grants, courses, conferences, volunteer programs, and much more.

    What do volunteers say?

“I like that I can choose a task I can do”. – Tsimafei Volski

“Even small steps help us achieve our main goal. The sea consists of small drops, and every drop is important. Volunteering gives me reassurance that I’m not alone”. – Volha

“If you can and want to, you should definitely become a volunteer. You will find something you can do to help. You only have to not give up and believe in the victory of good over evil”. – Viktar
