    April 10, 2022

Any Belarusian can join the Movement and choose from numerous options to resist the war and Belarus’ regime. Read the Manifest

Here is an overview of the Movement on April 9.

    Resistance

    • The Hajun project, which monitors the movement of Russian troops in Belarus, released an operational summary of the military activity as of April 9.
    • Also, the Hajun project warns of a trap made by Lukashenka's security forces. Recently, the so-called Kosciuszko brigade has been heavily advertised. It poses as Belarusians fighting in Ukraine, reviles against real volunteer groups defending Ukraine, and urges Belarusians to join its ranks. It is highly likely that it is a Belarus KGB project to identify those willing to fight in Ukraine and arrest them.

    Awareness campaign

    • Residents of Vaukavysk honored the memory of Ukrainians brutally tortured by Russian troops in Bucha and other cities.
    • Belarusians of Hrodna painted anti-war messages across the city.
    • The BYSOL Foundation answered questions about its support for Ukraine, including its partner organizations and assistance to Belarusian volunteers and refugees.
    • The #BelarusWithUkraine campaign compiled a review of projects launched by Belarusian IT specialists to support Ukrainians. These projects include platforms for locating temporary housing, medical and psychological assistance, etc.
    • In Ukrainian Odesa, the Plich-o-Plich Charitable Foundation painted graffiti dedicated to Belarusians fighting for Ukraine and supporting the country in other ways.
    • Young Ukrainian poets made a book of poetry called “First Poetic Front” to reflect on events that have been happening during the war.
    • The Chestnaja Gazeta (Honest Newspaper) new issue features chronicles of the Ukraine war, news about Belarusains' railway sabotage, a piece about Chernihiv, and other relevant news. The Chestnaja Gazeta is an underground press outlet distributed by volunteers among those who do not have access to honest information.
