    February 19, 2023

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked the minister for his help in resolving visa and migration issues that Belarusians were faced with.

    Several agreements were achieved:

    – In the coming weeks, Estonia's special diplomatic representative for relations with the democratic Belarus will arrive in Vilnius. Said representative will work alongside Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and the Joint Transitional Cabinet.

    – Tallinn will support the opening of a regional representative office of democratic Belarus.

    – Tsikhanouskaya and Reinsalu agreed to hold a Baltic-Belarusian forum in the near future, which will help bring together the leaders of the Baltic countries and representatives of the Belarusian democratic forces.

    – Estonia will consider the possibility of accepting travel documents that are being currently developed by the Joint Transitional Cabinet and the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.

Estonia and Minister Reinsalu initiated two hearings on topics surrounding Belarus in the UN Security Council. Estonia also offered an opportunity for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya to participate in the UN General Assembly, supported initiatives to loosen the visa and migration regulations for Belarusians, and continues to financially support a number of Belarusian initiatives, including the cultural ones. During the last meeting, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya also received a document found in the archives on the recognition of the independence of Estonia by the BPR Council from the Minister.
