    April 01, 2022

Here is an overview of the Movement on March 31.

    Sabotage

    • On the night of March 30, 2022, at a railway section in the East of Belarus, partisans unlocked two relay cabinets and managed to set one of them on fire. At this time, a group of interior troops were patrolling the area and opened fire with combat weapons. The partisans managed to escape.

    Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians

    • The Belarusian diaspora in Poland, with the financial support from the BYSOL Foundation and Free Shop Partyzanka, purchased aid for the Kastus Kalinouski battalion volunteers and Ukrainian territorial defense units, including army shoes, uniforms, and various relevant equipment for the soldiers.
    • The BYSOL Foundation purchased another vehicle for a mobile hospital in Ukraine. This is already the 11th such vehicle funded by Belarusians.

    Awareness campaign

    • Anatoli Liabedzka held his regular anti-war YouTube stream. This time, it featured Lithuanian Seimas deputy Žygimantas Pavilionis, the Belarusian Medical Solidarity Foundation representative Rustam Aizatulin, and orsha.eu editor Ihar Kazmiarchak.
    • The Belarusian PEN Center compiled a report on the crackdown on artists in Belarus. The report features 1,455 cases of violations of their rights. Repressions affected 628 people from more than 240 organizations. 68 artists are recognized as political prisoners.  Read the full report.
    • Belarusians of London joined a rally in support of Ukraine.
    • To ramp up pressure on Belarusian MPs and make them speak out on the war, the Honest People community has started a campaign to phone-call them. MP Valiantsina Nazaranka is unwilling to express her opinion publicly, but is vigorously wielding fake news about Nazis in Ukraine, NATO, Russia's 'special operation', and other issues.
    • Priest Andrzej Bulczak, a citizen of Poland, had to urgently flee from Belarus after a case was opened against him because of his video address in Polish explaining that Belarusians actually oppose the war in Ukraine and protest against it.
    • Belarusian railway workers and Cyber Partisans told a Ukrainian media outlet about the Belarusians' guerrilla war against Russian troops.
