On Sunday, February 25, a woman from Belarus was found unconscious in Warsaw with signs of strangulation and rape. Today, she was reported to have died after unsuccessful attempts to rescue her life.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Liza spent several days fighting desperately for her life. The life that was ruthlessly taken from her.
It hurts so much. I can’t describe all the pain I feel right now. But I also feel anger. Anger at the injustice. At the fact that women cannot feel safe. At the fact that some people blame the victim for what happened.
There should be no cruelty and violence in our world. And those guilty of such crimes must be held to account.
I offer my sincere condolences to the woman’s family and friends. Rest in peace, Liza…”
