Any Belarusian can join the Movement and choose from numerous options to resist the war and Belarus' regime.
Here is an overview of the Movement on May 18.
Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians
- Belarusians in Georgia held their weekly action (on the photo) in support of Belarusians and Ukrainians.
- Aksana Bialiayeva and other Belarusians of Homiel support refugees from Ukraine and take patronage over Ukrainian families. They provide material aid, help find housing, jobs, and more.
- During her visit to Spain, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the President of the Senate, Ander Gil to discuss support for relocated Belarusian initiatives, sanctions, and assistance to Belarusians forced to flee repression in Belarus and the war in Ukraine.
- Yuliya Yukhno, an activist of the Supolka association of Belarusians in Italy, gave an educational talk to the lyceum students in Faenza, Italy. She spoke on inequality, discrimination, and other global issue.
- Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya commented on the news about the introduction of the death penalty for “attempted acts of terrorism”: “Lukashenka, through the National Assembly, simply decided to label political murders as “legal”. We have already submitted to the EU for future sanctions a list of so-called MPs who supported this law and voted for it.”
- Belarusians in London held a rally to support Ukraine.
Resistance
- In Novalukoml, a Belarusian wrote "Glory to Ukraine" and "Russian warship go f…" on a heating pipe, and near Chashniki, he drew Ukrainian and Belarusian flags on a cannon. He was detained.
- “The regime caused more damage than a hurricane,” said Belarusians in Dziarzhynsk at a picket against the Lukashenka regime.
- Belarusians in Minsk signed subway tokens with anti-war inscriptions.
- Belarusians continue distributing anti-war stickers and painting flags and messages in their cities.
- Minsk residents held a picket to highlight that Lukashenka is an executioner and a criminal.
- Minsk residents picketed in support of Mikalai Autukhovich and all “terrorists” who were put on trial on May 18.
Sabotage
- The Hajun project, which monitors the movements of Russian troops in Belarus, released an operational summary for the day.
Awareness campaign
- Honest basketball player and former captain of the Belarusian national team Katsiaryna Snytsina spoke on the Belarusian society and her motivation to keep going in an interview to Tribuna.com, and explained why Belarusians need to understand those tired of fighting and how many people really support the regime in Belarus.

- Minsk residents designed a new local leaflet. It tells about the protests in the city district, the anti-war movement, the political prisoner Yauhen Babak, and more. Belarusians distribute underground media to counter state propaganda.
