“Today we again had private conversations with Belarusians. People from Belarus, Ukraine and other countries called. Thank you very much for your ideas and suggestions, I have heard a lot of useful information. A lot of people have been asking how else they can be useful for Belarus. All of them will get feedback.
I was very touched by one girl who said immediately: "I'm calling from hell". I thought she must be calling from Ukraine where the military action is going on. But she explained that she was calling from Minsk. And it hurts so much that our Motherland is now perceived as hell.
There were other conversations too, for example, with a guy from Russia who introduced himself as an oppositionist and was long explaining that there is no war in Ukraine, but a 'special military operation', that everything is directed by the West and that Poland and other countries are trying to 'tear a piece' from Belarus and Ukraine.
A Belarusian woman called, who was very much offended by the interview of a representative of the Ukrainian authorities – he said that the Belarusians are doing nothing to help Ukraine. I answered her that our task is to consistently explain to the Ukrainians what the Belarusians are doing in such difficult conditions and circumstances. Unfortunately, one cannot do much under repression. But despite all the terror, the Belarusians are fighting with all their strength against the dictatorship and for Ukraine.
