Northern Lights, a Belarusian film festival, marks 9 years since its launch. This year, its primary topic is distance. After all, Belarusians know exactly what it means to be far away from their home, loved ones, and friends.
The festival program features a variety of Belarusian movies, like the documentary “Homeland“, nominated for the European Film Award, the so-called “European Oscar”. Or like the art film “Live Events” about Belarusian journalists Katsiaryna Andreyeva and Darya Chultsova. Also, the Northern Lights features films by directors from Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Spain, and more.
The festival will continue until November 26. You can join as an online viewer from any part of the world for free, while those in Vilnius and Tallinn are invited to local cinemas. You can also donate to support the festival.
Watch the films of Northern Lights to feel unity regardless of the distance!
