The Belarusian leader commented on the “elections” scheduled by the regime for 2024.

Let us call things by their names.
The so-called “Single voting day” announced by the regime is a sham. Just a ritual without meaning and justice.
Under the guise of a democratic process, the dictator is attempting to strengthen his power, which he so aggressively holds onto with wide-spread fingers.
The preparations for this day resemble a military operation. Names of the members of the electoral commissions are no longer disclosed. Police and military are deployed to polling stations.
The dictator fears that something might not go according to plan again, as it did in 2020. He fears any competition. To ensure that everything goes smoothly and quietly, the regime has eliminated all opposition parties and thrown their leaders into prisons. People are persecuted for any kind of political activity.
The regime has nothing to offer to Belarusians except repression. Every day, people are arrested and tortured. Any dissent is labeled as extremism. How can one freely express their will in this situation?
They want Belarusians to remain silent. Silent and scared. But the regime is mistaken if it expects repression to take away people’s desire for freedom.

Be vigilant and do not let them deceive you. Avoid any involvement in what the regime does. Share the truth. And most importantly, support each other.
