Here is an overview of the Movement on March 15.

    Sabotage

    • Last night, partisans burned the relay cabinet on a railway section near Vitsebsk, disrupting the signaling, centralization and blocking mechanisms. Now, the traffic lights and switches in the section are inoperative.
    • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, during her working visit to Switzerland, met with the State Secretary of Switzerland Livia Leu, spoke at the National Council, and met with its President Irène Kälin. The Secretary of State denied that Natallia Hersche's release means Switzerland's recognition of the regime and noted that the Swiss ambassador did not deliver her credentials to Lukashenka, while Switzerland joined the sanctions against him. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya stressed that now, precision is needed so that the efforts to isolate the regime do not hurt ordinary Belarusians. Those Belarusians who are not guilty must not be banned from visas, scholarships, the labor market, and other opportunities.
    • Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management, Pavel Latushka, addressed the international community urging to recognize Belarus as a temporarily occupied territory, the Russian Federation as an occupant country, and the Lukashenka regime as a puppet government.
    • The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a resolution calling upon the PACE Bureau to suspend relations with the Belarusian government in all spheres.

    Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians

    • Within a week, users of the Coordination Council's chatbot raised 100 thousand dollars for Ukrainian hospitals, gathered information about the situation in Belarusian hospitals in the border areas, distributed leaflets, shared honest information with their family and friends, and performed other tasks to resist the war.
    • Belarusians of Georgia handed over medications, clothes, and food to refugees from Ukraine.
    • Residents of Minsk displayed a Ukrainian flag in solidarity with Ukrainians who are fighting against the Russian invaders.
    • The EU offers new opportunities for students and researchers from Belarus. Follow the digest on education and science to know about the latest news in Belarusian education.

    Awareness campaign

    • “Missing: Peace”: Homiel residents put up anti-war flyers around the city.
    • The Honest People initiative made a guide for Belarusians whom the regime might send to war on how to defect to the Ukrainian side.
