Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “We've got used to constant accusations, criminal cases, and the "extremists" and "terrorists" labels. Today, for the first time the regime initiated its newly-introduced "special proceedings" needed to prepare "trials in absentia" and new criminal cases. They have already brought 10 of them against me, 8 against Pavel Latushka, 5 against Volha Kavalkova, and 4 against Maryia Maroz.
What can I say about that? I just want to support all the people on these lists. Thank you all for your work. Thank you for staying united. Thank you for being unbreakable. All those who have been persecuted by the regime, remember: you are the true heroes of Belarus.
I know we are paying a high price for our efforts. But one day all these trumped-up criminal cases will be overturned. What we will have forever are honor and conscience”.
