On December 21-23, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will be on a working visit to Madrid. For the first time with the Spanish government, she will meet one of the political and economic leaders in the European Union.
Sviatlana will hold a video conference with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who is on self-isolation, and will meet with Foreign Minister Arancha González Laya. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is scheduled to meet with several Spanish politicians in Madrid.
During the trip, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will give interviews to the leading Spanish media – El Mundo, El País, La Vanguardia, RTVE.
This visit is especially important because the subject of fighting against dictatorship is close to Spain – less than half a century ago, the country defeated the regime of Francisco Franco and was recovering from the political and economic crisis.
