  • Siarhei Tsikhanouski shared his thoughts following his release from punishment cell and urged to remember the regime still takes revenge on many Belarusians

    November 03, 2022

“I don't know how long they let me out for. Maybe just for me to buy toiletries and get cleaned up. Other Belarusians in different institutions are kept in dire conditions too. Here in Zhodzina Uladzimir Kniha has been in the SHU for more than four months. He is a former riot policeman from Hrodna, who stood up for me when I was detained in 2020. He's a hero!”, Siarhei wrote.

Remember, the most important thing for people in prison is our attention. Support Siarhei by writing him a kind letter.

As most letters do not reach Siarhei, his mother rented a post office box to hand over all the letters to Siarhei once she can. If you want Siarhei's mother to pass your letter to Siarhei someday later, use this address: Belarus, 246012, Homiel, 91 Rechytski ave, box 125.

To send a letter directly to Siarhei, click Send a postcard on his page at the Viasna Human Rights Center website. The link will lead you to the Solidarity Postcards Atelier platform operated by volunteers who print out your letters and send them to political prisoners for free.
