On June 7-10, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will pay a visit to the Czech Republic by the invitation of the President of the Czech Senate. Leader of democratic Belarus will hold meetings with Prime Minister Andrei Babis, Foreign Minister Jakub Kulganek, President of the Senate Milos Vystrcil, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Radek Vondracek, and will also address the plenary session of the Czech Republic Senate.
During the speech, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya will speak about the job done on internal and external pressure on the regime. Another purpose of the visit is to discuss the protection of Belarusian journalists, support programs for independent media, human rights defenders, and victims of Lukashenka's regime.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya will hold meetings with several Czech NGOs and meet with Belarusians who suffered during the protests and fled to the Czech Republic under the MEDEVAC medical and humanitarian program.
