  • Results of the Belarusian Anti-War Movement for March 14

    March 14, 2022

Any Belarusian can join the Movement and choose from numerous options to resist the war and Belarus’ regime. Read the Manifest

Here is an overview of the Movement on March 12.

    Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians

    • Belarusians of South Korea, as well as Gdańsk and other Polish cities, joined rallies in support of Ukraine and against the war.
    • Sviatlana Tsikhanouksaya and the OST Acting Representative on Legal Affairs Kristina Rikhter held a live stream to answer questions from Belarusians who fled from Ukraine or Belarus to Poland.
    • Lithuania's oldest and largest NGO supporting Ukraine, Blue/Yellow, and the BYSOL Foundation united their efforts. Sviatlana Tsikhanouksaya and representatives of the NGOs held a meeting to discuss how to improve further assistance and agreed to cooperate.

    Awareness campaign

    • The Ecohome NGO joined the Belarusian Anti-War Movement. Its team published a guide about how everyone can support the Movement.
    • Ecohome wrote a checklist on what to do in case of a nuclear accident or explosion. Russia's military aggression against Ukraine carries not only death and destruction, but also the risk of a nuclear disaster. We hope no one will ever need to follow these Ecohome's instructions. Still, Belarusians and everyone can read them as a safeguard.
    • Belarusians launched a petition demanding that Lukashenka be tried for crimes against humanity.
    • The Coordination Council's chatbot proposed its users from Belarus to distribute protest press and users in the diaspora to support fundraisers for Ukraine.
    • Belarusians distributed anti-war leaflets and samizdat.
