    Here is an overview of the Movement for the week of April 18-24.

    Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians 

    • The Center of Belarusian Solidarity provides free assistance to Belarusians and Ukrainians, including legal, psychological support and help in locating temporary housing.
    • The BYSOL Foundation donated 40 kits with equipment, uniforms, and shoes formed by the Prague Support Team and Kirill Jakimovič.
    • Palina Brodzik, a coordinator of the Free Belarus Center, gave an interview on the initiative's support for Belarusians and Ukrainians. Since the beginning of the war, the Center has evacuated more than 3.5 thousand people from Ukraine.
    • The Belarusian Medical Solidarity Foundation, Belarusian feminists and activists released a guide in Ukrainian and Russian on support for women who faced violence during war, occupation, and in prison.
    • The Belarusian diaspora in various European countries supports Ukrainians and stands against the war. Belarusians held and joined rallies in London, Vilnius, Bonn, and other cities. The British diaspora donated two off-roaders for the Belarus Kastus Kalinouski's battalion, and a Belarusian from Sweden donated his car. The People's Embassy of Belarus in Sweden and the Belarusians of Sweden community organized an urgent fundraiser to buy canned food, protein bars, and other necessary food and items, raising almost 20,000 Swedish krona in three days. Belarusians of Sweden also volunteer at the storage of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.
    • The DAR Initiative and the Dapamoga NPO sent a parcel with aid for the Belarusian defenders of Odesa, Ukraine.
    • PandaDoc co-founder Mikita Mikado invested in Mesto.in, a platform for the relocation of Russian-speaking IT specialists and startups.
    • Belarusian human rights activists are raising funds for VAC systems to donate them to Ukrainian hospitals. These cutting-edge systems help heal wounds that cannot be sewn up. Join the fundraising here.
    • Following Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s visit, the Netherlands will consider assistance to Belarusian medics in Ukraine, according to the list compiled by the Belarusian Medical Solidarity Foundation. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya also passed a list of the Belarus Kastus Kalinouski battalion's needs, mainly protective ammunition, equipment, uniforms, and first aid kits. 
    • Pavel Latushka and the National Anti-Crisis Management team held consultations with the Foreign Ministers of Sweden, Poland, deputy Foreign Ministers of Czechia, Luxembourg, and representatives of the Foreign Ministries of France and the UK. The diplomats stated that they view the Lukashenka regime's actions in the war against Ukraine as complicity in aggression and do not trust the regime's proposals to establish a dialogue with the EU.
    • Ms. Tsikhanouskaya’s Representative Valery Kavaleuski and the team of democratic forces arrived to Ukraine on a visit to negotiate a permanent democratic forces' representation in Kyiv. They delivered humanitarian aid for Belarusian volunteers defending Ukraine.

    Resistance

    • Partisans in Minsk painted national flags and anti-war slogans and distributed leaflets and stickers across the city to protest against the war and express solidarity with Ukrainians.  
    • Partisans of Kastsiukouka, a town in the Homiel Region, held a picket, calling the war in Ukraine an act of barbarism. 
    • Belarusians in Lida protested against the war and supported Ukrainians.

    Awareness campaign

    • Catholic and Orthodox Church representatives in Belarus released anti-war Easter notes.
    • The Honest People initiative made a guide on how to set up a PC for relatives to keep them safe from propaganda and ensure they have access to honest information. The Belaruski Vestnik underground press outlet's new issue tells about the major problems in the Belarusian economy caused by Lukashenka's actions and the prospects for those who fight for Russia.
