    Mutual assistance and support

    – Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya held an online meeting with the representatives of the democratic forces, including the OST, Coordination Council, National Anti-Crisis Management, and Viktar Babaryka’s team. They discussed the outcomes of 2021 and plans for the next year. See the conclusions.

    – Ms. Tsikhanouskaya announced after the 18-year imprisonment sentence Siarhei Tsikhanouski launches his Telegram channel “A Prison to Live in” to cover news, quotes, and letters from Siarhei. Through this channel, he will be exposing the reality thousands of people are put in: “We see every day behind bars as the people’s approval of our imprisonment”. 

    Volunteers of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Office sent 1500 New Year postcards to political prisoners. If you want to support Belarusians behind bars, use politzek.me to find information and vkletochku.org to send your letters easily and for free.

    – Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya supported the system of gathering evidence of arbitrary, politically motivated dismissals. The Office created online forms for people to share information about dismissals and related threats. 

    – An auction in support of political prisoners were held in Vilnius, under the patronage of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, MEP Petras Auštrevičius, and the Lithuanian Artists' Association. 33 pieces by Belarusian and Lithuanian painters were auctioned off, and a total of 12 thousand euros was raised. 70% will be directed to support political prisoners.     International work

    – A new episode of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s working visits journal was released on “A Country to Live in” Youtube channel. It reveals details of the Belarusian Leader’s visit to Poland.

    – Tsikhanouskaya held a working visit to Brussels. She met Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno, Deputy Director General at DG Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission Katarína Mathernová, ambassadors of the EU countries – and gave more than 20 interviews and comments. Also during the visit, the Belarusian democratic forces and EU leaders held a general meeting and discussed the future of EU-Belarus relations.

    – During the Eastern Partnership Summit, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya met with political executives of six EU countries: Finland, Slovakia, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovenia. Tsikhanouskaya spoke with the Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer on the regime's attack on A1 Telekom, Austria Group’s Belarusian subsidiary, and stressed that Austrian businesses should suspend investment in projects related to the regime and cooperation with state-owned enterprises.

    – Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya received French Senate President Gérard Larcher and his team in her office. The Leader of democratic Belarus was invited to address EU parliamentarians at a special session in Paris when France presides over the EU.

    – Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya held an online call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Anniken Huitfeld. They found understanding regarding Yara's position on imports of Belarusian potash. Following the meeting, Tsikhanouskaya made a call with the CEO of Yara. The Belarusian leader shared an investigation that proves the direct participation of Belaruskali management in election fraud. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya noted that the people of Belarus consider attempts to bypass sanctions unethical.

    – Anatoli Liabedzka, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Representative for the Constitutional Reform and Parliamentary Cooperation, completed his visit to Moldova. Following the visit, a group “For Democratic Belarus” was formed in the Parliament.
