    Here is an overview of the Movement on March 17.

    Resistance

    • Residents of Minsk put up anti-military leaflets around the city, and Belarusians of Barysau demonstrated anti-war posters at the Second World War memorial. 
    • Belarusians demand their deputies convey their position on the war in Ukraine. Deputy Valiantsina Kursievich answered the residents of her constituency by saying she does not have the authority to convey her voters' opinions to other state bodies. 

    Sabotage

    • Last night at the central railway station of Vorsha, partisans dismantled six signal transformers from the relay cabinet, disrupting the work of the exit signal for 4 hours.
    • BYPOL explained how they waged the “rail war” in Belarus.
    • The Bosch company suspended the supply of its products to Belarus. This is one of the outcomes of the National Anti-Crisis Management's campaign to stop financing the war.
    • The Council of Europe suspends all contacts with Lukashenka’s regime because of its involvement in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The regime’s representatives will no longer be able to take part in meetings of the Council of Europe or its bodies, even as observers.

    Support for Ukrainians and Belarusian

    • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya called on the UN ambassadors to recognize Belarus as de-facto temporarily occupied by Russia, bring Lukashenka to the tribunal in view of the events in Ukraine, and mount an immediate response to torture in Belarusian prisons and the conditions of detention of political prisoners.
    • Center of the Belarusian Solidarity explained how Belarusian refugees from Ukraine and Belarus could get protection and legalize their stay. CBS noted that Belarusians would not be deported from Poland.
    • CBS lawyers launched a petition to the Polish authorities explaining why Belarusians who fled the war in Ukraine are eligible for receiving temporary protection in Poland. The letter will be sent to the Prime Minister of Poland, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the head of the Office for Foreigners, and other high-profile Polish institutions.
    • The BYSOL Foundation purchased 600 turnstile harnesses and will send them to a voluntary mobile hospital in Ukraine, the Kastus Kalinouski battalion, and the Vostok-SOS NGO.
    • Belarusians of London spoke at a rally in support of Ukraine and against the war.
    • DAPAMOGA activists, Belarusian students of the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, Vilnius Ambulance Station, and Vilnius Municipality sent an ambulance car and a mobile ICU to Ukraine.

    Awareness campaign

    • Political analyst Aliaksandr Klaskouski and economist Yaraslau Ramanchuk joined Anatoli Liabedzka's anti-war YouTube live stream
    • The Coordination Council's chatbot called on its users to both block propaganda and share truthful information with constructive narratives.
