  • Results of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s working visit to Berlin

    On March 8, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya had a working visit to Berlin where she met with Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and representatives of the Federal Foreign Office. She also spoke at the Foreign Office’s conference on the situation in Belarus, gave a briefing to the ambassadors of the United States, Great Britain, Poland, Italy, Australia, Estonia, Lithuania, France, Canada, Latvia, and held a separate meeting with the chair of the SPD party, Saskia Esken.

    • Ms. Tsikhanouskaya made arrangements for the provision by Germany of a field hospital for Belarusian doctors working in Ukraine in the wartime.
    • She also raised the issue of granting the war refugee status for Belarusians who are now leaving Belarus and Ukraine for the EU countries.
    • The national leader of Belarus called on the EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK to make statements in support of Belarusians, who, within the Anti-War Movement, stand up against the regime, the war waged by the Kremlin in Ukraine, and the participation of Belarusian troops in this war.     • At all briefings, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya stressed that the regime is not equal to Belarus, and Belarusians do not support the actions of Lukashenka, who committed state treason and became a war criminal.
    • In addition, at meetings in Berlin, tha national leader of Belarus discussed parliamentary cooperation between the democratic forces and the German Bundestag. She also gave interviews to Al Jazeera, NTV, and Deutsche Welle TV channels, as well as Die Zeit, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, BILD newspapers.
