Mr. Schinas and Ms. Tsikhanouskaya discussed migration issues and simplifying asylum requirements and migration conditions for Belarusians fleeing war and repression.
They also discussed new documents for Belarusians, including the passport of the new Belarus, which could temporarily solve the problem of Belarusian refugees.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya asked Mr. Schinas to facilitate the participation of Belarusians and Belarusian democratic forces in international forums and events, and strengthen visa support. More visas could be issued in Minsk, including long-term ones. The Lukashenka regime must be distinguished from Belarusians.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya noted the importance of mobility and EU–Belarus connections for Belarusians.
