On January 26, 2022, under the patronage of ABBA and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, the Union of Belarusian Business Abroad was opened in Warsaw.
The opening was attended by Head of the Cabinet Valery Kavaleusky, as well as members of the OST economic team Ales Aliakhnovich, Yauhen Bury, Iryna Sazanovich, and Karolina Sawka.
The Union was founded by businessmen of Belarusian descent to facilitate and complement ABBA’s activities by:
– representing the interests of Belarusian businesses that had to relocate abroad;
– arranging business meetings and forums, as well helping forge relationships with international partners;
– consulting on business issues, and organizing business training.
The Union will be working in close cooperation with “Związek Przedsiębiorców I Pracodawców” (ZPP), Poland’s largest business union. The collaboration, being the first step in consolidating the Belarusian business community with foreign business associations, should help establish effective dialogue with the state authorities of Poland and the European Union.
