    – On January 16-19, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya spoke twice at the World Economic Forum in Davos, at panel discussions on Europe’s security and women's leadership. She raised the issues of Belarus’ involvement in the war, repressions, and threats to Belarus’ independence, as well as proposed measures that international partners could implement to address these issues.

    – On the sidelines of the Forum, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya spoke at the panel discussion of the future of Belarusian businesses and presented her vision of economic reforms in Belarus. This was the first discussion entirely devoted to Belarus in WEF’s history.

    – During the Forum, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya held a number of meetings, including with the King of Belgium, the Prince of Liechtenstein, the President of Moldova, the Vice-President of the European Commission, the Prime Minister and the Duke of Luxembourg, the Prime Minister of Belgium, the Prime Minister of Ireland, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Spain, the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, the President of the Swiss National Council, the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, the Presidents of the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Former Prime Minister of Great Britain. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya called for keeping Belarus on the agenda, distinguishing between Belarusians and the regime, supporting repressed Belarusian businesses, and seeking ways to achieve the release of political prisoners.

    – Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya published an opinion in Politico, speaking about the trials of TUT.by and Belsat journalists, urging politicians to support independent journalists, and calling on international companies to place advertisements in Belarusian independent media.

    – Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya commented on the new charges against Siarhei Tsikhanouski: ”For the people of Belarus, Siarhei remains the embodiment of pride, strength, and charisma. And no accusations will ever change that”.

    – How is the Russian language destroying the Belarusian language? Are the two state languages equal in Belarus? In a new video, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Advisor Franak Viacorka and United Transitional Cabinet Representative for National Revival Alina Koushyk discuss the so-called “bilingualism” in Belarus.

    – Belarusians who have lost their Belarus passport while having a Polish residence permit obtained on humanitarian grounds, can get a temporary Polish travel document from January 1. The document allows people to travel and get visas. The agreement was reached at the democratic forces’ meeting with Poland’s Interior Ministry.

    – “Will 2023 make Belarusians pariahs? What do we prevent it?” Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Advisor on Legal Affairs Kristina Rikhter and Diplomatic Advisor Dzianis Kuchynski released an address discussing the issue in attempts to find answers.

    – Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Valery Kavaleuski and representatives of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office met with the leadership of the Migration Department under Lithuania’s Ministry of the Interior to address migration issues of Belarusians. Further meetings will be held regularly.
